About us
A small company with a simple goal
Moonriver Ventures LLC is a software company based in the United States. We build and maintain consumer mobile apps, handling everything from product design and engineering to publishing, support and long-term updates.
Our apps start from real problems we have run into ourselves. Our first product, Guard Pass, came out of years on the mats and a stack of training notes that never quite added up to a clear picture of a game.
We keep our products lean: no ads, no selling data, and features that earn their place.

What we’re building
Each product is designed, developed and supported by Moonriver Ventures LLC.
Guard Pass
Your BJJ game, mapped.
Guard Pass is a note-taking app for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Write down what you learn on the mats, and Guard Pass turns your notes into one map of your game: the positions, the submissions and the moves between them. It shows you the systems you can chain and the holes you still need to fill.
- Notes that follow how techniques actually connect
- A flow chart of your whole game, built automatically
- Training log, search, tags and video saving
- Free to start. No account required, no ads
How we work
Principles behind every app
The same standards apply to everything we ship.
Privacy first
We collect only what an app needs to work, never sell personal data, and explain our practices in plain language.
Focused by design
Clear, purposeful features instead of clutter. Every screen should help you do the thing you came to do.
Built to last
Native-quality apps on iOS and Android, maintained with regular updates and fixes long after launch.
Real support
Questions go to a real person. We read every message and answer as quickly as we can.
